Hey, fellow clients, I would like to first thank everyone who posts reviews of MPs on here. That info is invaluable in making decisions as to which MPs and providers are doing a good job and which aren't.

As a complete (and so far happy) newcomer to the EMP community though, I find myself with a lot of questions that I am sure could be answered with the collective knowledge of this group. I wondered if there wasn't some sort of "do's and don'ts" list, or maybe some rules of etiquette that could be put together. The last thing I want to do is offend any of the providers at any of the MPs that I visit, yet I don't know exactly how to go about conducting business with them, in a way that protects them, and me, legally and doesn't cause anyone to be offended. Examples of what I am talking about are, how do you properly ask for additional services? How do you compensate the provider for the extra services? Those sort of basic questions come to mind, as, I am sure, do others for other clients.

I have seen this question asked on here, in other ways, before. The answer has been to search all of the forums. But I have, and I am not finding anything that adequately answers it. I am sorry if some on here feel this is a waste of their valuable time. If that is the case, please feel free to completely ignore what I am asking. But if you have any wisdom that you would like to impart, to me and the rest of the community, how about taking the opportunity of this thread to start building a sort of FAQ. Could it really be that much trouble?

Thank you all very much. I look forward to reading whatever anyone feels like adding to this.

Welcome to EMP.

You have asked alot of questions that have been answered, such as tip amounts, how to go about indicating what service you would like.

Now I grant you that you will not find these in a nice post titled EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW HERE!!!, but rather in the posts and reviews of participants of this board. So it requires that you do ALOT of reading, maybe even on spas outside of your area (read all the reviews of a spa with many recommendations maybe in NY or LA or DC), these can help you.

Since you are new (only 1 post and 1 review) people tend to question your motives, and I certainly do too.

So let me ask you about yourself.

What do you do?
Where do you work?
How long have you been there?
Do you like your job?
Are you married?
Do you have kids? If so how many?
Where do you live?
Do you own or rent?

Now I doubt you are comfortable enough with any one here to answer those questions, you probably never will be. But it is kind of the same thing, until we are comfortable with you we may not want to share what we consider private information (that could hurt us or people we know or care about) with you.

But I doubt there would ever be a post where everything you need to know laid out. Kind of like school, they don't give you a paper on the 1st day of class saying "Here is everything you need to know to pass the final exam", if they did attending the class would be pointless, you would take that info only to return on test day and pass, missing the value of learning. And people would take such info from here, never to return or contribute.

*steps off the soap box*

Thanks

Learn by doing. You really won't get useful tips as a newbie...so go and try it yourself. To want so much detail, you come off as either too paranoid or up to no good to be doing this anyway. If not, go somewhere and try it out. Women respect men who respect them (in any situation)...just remember that and you won't have to worry so much.
